Things I Miss...

Out of all the things I could possibly miss, of course, family and friends are a given. Luckily, with today's technology, I'm allowed to talk to people overseas practically whenever I want. ((Except for Taylor Faye Manley, whose household is basically similar to that of an amish person's... Sonya and Jim, jump on it!)) Apart from the given, there are some bizarre things I didn't think I'd miss so much.

I weirdly miss driving. When I was home, it seemed to me that I dreadeddd driving for the most part. With school 2 hours from my home, that drive gets old and it happens often. High gas prices, etc. My list could probably go on. However, I can't wait to take my leisurely drives around St. Louis and the metro east with Brian. I really miss it.

Soft water and styling my hairrr. OH MY GOSHHH. I brought my can of mousse and planned on doing nothing to my hair every day... The humidity would have its way with it anyway, right? So I didn't bring a hair dryer... I didn't bring a hair straightener... The outlets here would fry that sort of thing. One of my friends, Kalyn, has a straightener, so I have straightened it twice now. (You may have seen pictures on facebook) Other than that, every day, I'm air drying and leaving it a gingery, frizzy mess. On top of that, the hard water leaves my hair feeling harsh, regardless of how much conditioner I use.

American food. It's getting to that point. I've been in Europe for 4 weeks now and I just want a damn cheeseburger or something.

There's more, I'm sure, but that's all for nowww. Also, bad news: My camera broke from an unfortunate sand storm I found myself in yesterday at the beach. I'm going to try to use my memory card in someone else's camera to upload the rest of the pictures I have... Otherwise, from here on out, I'm going to have to use crap phone quality pictures. On the brightside though... My camera lasted for more than half of the trip. I'm only here for another 14 days (where has the time gone?!) More fun news: I've been taking videos on my phone a lot... I'm trying to figure out how to post it in blog form, but videos of what I see on a daily basis are soon to come your way!
